Every camera has a lot of settings. From different lighting measurement systems to face recognition. And perhaps in the beginning those settings might scare you. What to use and what is important in certain circumstances?

Don’t be put off of by all of these settings. If you starting with photography don’t be ashamed to set your camera to auto. As you will see in the other tips one important aspect of photography is: Seeing. Focus on that. That’s where it all starts.

Luckily cameras have a great feature: full automatic.

And you can build it up from there. Step by step and at your own speed. You can try playing with settings one at a time. In our upcoming newsletters we will cover a few of them.

And take some time to read the manual of your camera. Choose one subject at a time and read about it. This will get you familiar with your camera and the settings. You can learn a lot from it!
